Famous actor Harrison Ford will remain in hospital under medical care, although the star is doing better now. The Hollywood star is healing following his plane crash, which occurred last week. Investigators are still trying to find out exactly what happened and the exact cause of the accident. An investigator from the National Transportation Safety Board alleged that authorities hope they will be able to soon talk to Ford and get his version on whatever occurred on the flight. Ford was the only passenger of the plane that crashed.
Following the accident, it had been claimed that the injuries suffered by Harrison Ford were not life-threatening. Apparently, the conditions on the golf course on which the plane landed helped. “The airplane Harrison was flying was an old model. It was built for slow speed and maneuverability. I think what happened in this instance is the wheels dug into the wet ground and that made the aircraft stop too quickly,” an aviation specialist said according to International Business Times.
Both the actor’s wife, Calista Flockhart, and his son Ben, visited him at the hospital. In fact, Ben kept fans informed on the condition of his dad through a series of tweets. He also tanked fans for their concerns and their support. Ben added that his father is a very strong man and is receiving the best case possible. On the other hand, Calista was photographed smiling, as she went to see her husband. She definitely seemed to be in better sprits than the day after the accident, when she appeared distressed and tearful.
“Calista is devastated. Thank goodness Harrison is OK but it could have been much, much worse. It is a worry for her and his children that he has this dangerous hobby. But they appreciate he loves it, it’s something he is very passionate about,” a source claimed after the news was made public. The source also added that Calista banned her husband from flying alone. “Whether or not he will pilot a plane again remains to be seen but everyone around him certainly hopes he will take a break – or give it up for ever. It is -obviously a huge worry.”
Calista Flockhart is best known for her role in Ally McBeal. The star met Harrison Ford in 2002 and the two became engaged in 2009. They married a year later, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
