ZTE has released a new smartphone, named ZTE Blade S6. Along with its release, several discussions started to appear. The reason for this so called agitation is that ZTE Blade S6 looks surprisingly similar with the iPhone 6. Its design is similar with the Apple’s most successful duck, with round edges and aluminum-looking rear, even if the ZTE’s phone is made of plastic. The only thing that it misses, is the antenna band markings. Fortunately, the similarities end here, because Blade S6 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, much different than Apple’s iOS 8.
ZTE Blade S6 comes with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octo-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, 4G LTE dual-sim capabilities and a 13-megapixel camera. This device has a 5-inch 720p screen. Balde S6 will be available online, at the cost of 250 dollars. Soon, the new phone will appear on stores in Singapore, Thailand and India. This means that people who wanted to buy an iPhone 6, but couldn’t afford it, now have the opportunity to buy a device with a similar design, but at an affordable price.
However, Blade S6 is a little larger than iPhone 6, thanks to its 5-inch display with 1,280×720 pixels. It also is thicker, at 7, 7 mm and feels lighter, but it has astonishing similar curved-edge glass front. You will find the home button at the bottom of the phone, but it has a circle with a glowing blue light, instead of the house icon. At the side, you will see two additional buttons, back and menu. When they are not in use, they are hidden, and when they are touched the button will light up.
ZTE Blade S6 is so similar to the Apple iPhone that people are in doubt if the phone will appear in US, Australia or Europe. No doubt that Apple will defend its work through legal means. Probably, this new device will do just fine on many markets. After all, its affordable price of 250 dollars will be an incredible opportunity for those who don’t afford to spend money on the Apple’s smartphone, but love its design.
