Famous singer Gwen Stefani will join popular television show The Voice. The news on this fact was revealed by no one else than Christina Aguilera.
Christina will actually be the one to be replaced by Gwen Stefani as judge, who will join the show for its seventh season. It seems that Gwen is really excited to be part of this project and most likely the No Doubt singer will make a great judge on The Voice.
Christina Aguilera, on the other hand, will be leaving the show, at least for this upcoming season. However, fans should not imagine that the famous singer wants to abandon The Voice. She will actually leave on maternity leave, so Christina had to be replaced. The singer was the one to first announce the replacement on her official Twitter page.
“So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani! Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses xoxo #blondesdoitbetter,” Christina tweeted, so it seems that the star is quite happy with the fact that her colleague will join the famous show. If Christina tweeted the news, Gwen was the one to confirm it. The famous singer said that it is all true and she will soon be part of the popular show.
Fans of The Voice should know that the next season of the show will start airing in June. The show will feature some changes when it comes to the stars who will serve as judges. So, the judges will consist of Blake Shelton, Adam Lavine, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani. Most likely, they will make an interesting combination, so the show is expected to be great.
However, the host of The Voice, Carson Daly claimed that all the judges are friends and this will make the show even better. “She’s friends with the other coaches but has a strong opinion, which is also important. They can’t all just be too lovey out there. So I think she’d be a solid choice,” Daly said referring to Gwen Stefani.
NBC also confirmed the news, saying that Christina Aguilera will return to the show for its 8th season. Shakira previously served in this role. On the other hand, Pharrell is also new to The Voice, replacing Usher.
