Based on a recent report published by the Associated Press, Google Glass will receive a new software update in the following days. Google Glass, the much-awaited futuristic glasses from the software company, has been released a month ago and a new software update is already available.
Very few people have been fortunate enough to be able to purchase a pair of Google Glass. The wearable device was first released last month triggering both negative and positive reactions on behalf of users and analysts alike. The software company has been gathering feedback from everyone and the first update was released on Tuesday night.
Google told the press that the update is called Dubbed XE5 and is meant to solve several issues that have been reported by users. The new software has also been provided with several new features so owners could enjoy a unique experience when wearing the device. The bugs that annoyed customers, such as, crash reporting and Google + functionality have been entirely solved by Dubbed XE5.
Owners, who will download and install the new software update, will notice that the software uses a new rule to upload background data. According to the description provided by the company, the update allows apps to upload data when the spectacles are connected to a power source and a Wi-Fi network.
Several social network features have also been included with the new update; owners will be able to quickly comment and +1 posts on Google Plus. Hangout notifications will also pop up on Google glass for owners, who want to add this feature to their device. Since many customers have complaint that the gadget has a short battery life, Google tried to solve this problem with the new software update. The company guarantees that the battery will be much more reliable after the installation of the update and messages will be easier to write.
