Giuliana Rancic was surprised by her colleagues at E! who threw an unexpected baby shower for her on Thursday. According to US Weekly, the party was perfectly organized by Giuliana’s assistant, Sarah Knight because she was very happy to see that the TV host finally made her dream of becoming mom come true.
Reporters found out that Giuliana Rancic was surprised with a baby shower through the Twitterverse. Her assistant, Sarah Knight wrote on the personal Twitter account that she threw a mini party for her boss who is going to become a mother for the first time. She concluded the message by saying that everyone was very happy at the party.
The bash was decorated with various pastel colors. Unlike most baby showers which are decorated with blue and pink pastel shades, the planners opted for green and yellow this time. The treats were produced by L.A.’s Southern Girl Desserts who explained that they did not use pink and blue because Rancic doesn’t know the gender of the child yet. According to Knight, the impressive décor was realized by Party Paper Wrap which stands as a proof that the baby shower was carefully organized down to the smallest detail.
Giuliana also took to Twitter to thank her friends for the surprise. She was shocked because she wasn’t expecting anything like that. The 37-year-old host is over the moon because she will soon have her first baby. Rancic tried to get pregnant through IVF, but she was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago. In the end, she and her husband agreed to resort to a gestational surrogate.
Bill explained that Giuliana froze her embryos when she discovered she had breast cancer in 2011 and now she will be able to have her own kids. The couple further added that the child will be 100 percent genetically theirs because the embryo belongs to them.
During Monday’s edition of “Today”, Giuliana and Bill spoke about the experience they’ve been through during the past year. They were both happy to see that people are finally shedding tears of joy and they no longer cry because they feel sorry for what happened to them.
