Giuliana and Bill Rancic have given detailed accounts of their first meeting with baby Edward Duke on Thursday morning. The happy parents stood right by the surrogate mother’s side during the 4-hour labor because they wanted to be the first to meet the boy, according to E! News.
Giuliana and Bill Rancic desperately wanted to become parents and now their wish has finally come true. The two reality TV stars announced on early Thursday morning that they had their first meeting with the much-anticipated baby boy, Edward Duke.
The first to announce fans of Edward’s arrival was Bill Rancic who posted a message on his Twitter account. He told his followers that “the Duke has landed” and stated that his measures were 7lbs 4oz at his birth. He concluded by saying that he and his wife, Giuliana feel blessed to finally be able to hold the boy in their arms.
The E! News anchor followed her husband’s example and quickly notified her friends and fans that she has become a mother for the first time. She was, nevertheless, more generous than Bill and provided more information about the baby’s birth for the press. Giuliana stated that she and Bill were with their “baby mama” in the hospital room throughout the whole labour. The gestational mother was in labour for almost four hours, but the baby was safely delivered at 10:12 p.m.
Doctors taught Bill how to cut the umbilical cord and Giuliana had the opportunity to hold Edward in her arms for the first time. Bill was the next who was able to enjoy some cuddle session with his child, but he was soon replaced by his wife who was anxious to feed Rancic junior. Duke’s first bath provided the couple with many fun and loving moments.
Giuliana concluded by thanking everyone who supported them in their struggle to conceive their first baby and wished them all the best. She confessed that she has fallen in love with Duke the first time she has set eyes on him acknowledging the blessings that have been sent to them.
