The Associated Press reports that the man behind “Family Guy” Seth MacFarlene was selected to host Saturday Night Live’s first edition this fall. The young director will be accompanied by a special musical guest, Frank Ocean.
Saturday Night Live will return on television this fall with a new formula. NBC hasn’t revealed all the modifications that they have made, but they, nevertheless, introduced Seth MacFarlene as the host of the show’s first edition. The presence of the comedian on the show is expected to make up for the departure of some of the members of the cast, including actress Kristen Wiig.
The first edition of Saturday Night Live will begin on September 15. NBC claims the 38th season of the comedy show will feature many other changes. For the moment, they have only disclosed information related to Seth MacFarlene’s contribution. The creator of “Family Guy” will meet with musician Frank Ocean and join forces to give life to a special SNL show.
Seth MacFarlene has become famous after revealing that he is the writer, the producer and the voice actor of the cartoon comedy “Family Guy”. He plans to expand his horizons and his dreams could soon come true. Seth directed his first big screen movie, “Ted”, featuring Mark Wahlberg and actress Mila Kunis, this year. In addition, MacFarlene also provided the voice for the animated teddy-bear named “Ted”.
Many other famous guest hosts will make their appearance at the Saturday Night Live. NBC concluded their statement by saying that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Daniel Craig are just a few of the celebrities who will join comedians on the SNL set this season.
