Who has saw Rachel in the beginning of her career, might have thought she is fairly “the girl next door” type. Boy, they were wrong!
They say “good girls go to Heaven and bad girls go … wherever they want to.” Well, the sexy 23-year-old blonde (turned redhead) must have believed in this phrase all her life. In an interview for Esquire Magazine, cited by AccessHollywood.com she replied to the reporter who asked her if she dated women a proud “Yes!” Earlier in the interview she played with gender terms specifying: “I grew up in love with David Bowie, so I was always into very androgynous things. Guys, girls… I’m into androgyny in general.” And a little after that she highlighted: “I’m up for anything, meet a nice guy, meet a nice girl…”.
The True Blood” and “Mildred Pierce” star has had previous controversed subjects on her agenda, like the on and off relationship with the even more controversed Marilyn Manson. The “laid-back” and “not a party girl” – as she described her self – Rachel fell in love with the eccentric singer in 2007, after meeting him at a party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel. They both invested deep feelings in the relationship. Manson has exhibited two portraits of Rachel, that he himself painted, at the Celebritarian Corporation Gallery of Fine Art. She has been his muse in the music field as well. She starred in one of his music videos, the “Heart-Shaped Glasses” which was inspired by her. At that time, Manson mentioned that she was the highest paid actress for a music video appearance. Woods unveiled that she particularly likes the fact that he uses black liner constantly. BostonHerald.com cited a piece of the interview she gave to Elle Britain: “If you’ve ever dated me, then you would have ended up wearing eyeliner at some point, all my boyfriends have.”On another occasion described their relationship as “healthy and loving”.
Still, it appears that love doesn’t conquer it all. They broke up, their got back together and so on for the next two years. In 2010, January, they announced they were engaged to be married, but then in August they split again, this time for good. Maybe Rachel had doubts about comitting to a monogamus relationship before exploring this “girl thing”.
When asked about her behaviour inside girl – girl relationships she admits to be the upper hand: “Yeah, I’m more kind of like the guy when it comes to girls. I’m the dominant one,” she said. “I’m opening the doors, I’m buying dinner. Yeah, I’m romantic”.
