There isn’t one single thing that Emma Stone is not capable of. The actress proved that she can also be a wedding officiant on Saturday when she wedded her publicist Holly Shakoor with director Ruben Fleischer, Us Weekly announces.
Emma Stone received one of the biggest roles of her life when her publicist Holly Shakoor asked her to officiate her wedding with director Ruben Fleischer. The wedding ceremony took place on Saturday, November 10, at Twin Peaks Ranch in Ojai, California.
“The Help” star opted for a cream-colored sleeveless dress for the special event. She was accompanied by a string quartet playing “Thunder Road” on her way down the aisle. Even though this was the first time when the actress officiated a wedding, she didn’t seem nervous at all. Insiders claim that she was “very eloquent and composed” throughout the entire ceremony. In fact, she told an emotional story about how she and Holly met six years ago and how she later on, collaborated with Ruben during the movie “Zombieland”; thus, facilitating the encounter between the two.
The bride agreed to everything that the 24-year-old actress stated. She confessed that Stone was a true “matchmaker” for her and her husband, Ruben. This was the reason why they chose Emma to officiate the wedding because they wanted to show their gratitude towards the person who enabled them to meet.
The wedding ceremony was an important moment for Emma Stone, as well, since her boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, kept a close eye on the actress the entire evening. He appeared to be very proud of his girlfriend, judging by the big smile on his face and the attention he paid to her speech. The crowd had a wonderful time during the ceremony as they were all clapping and cheering at the end of the actress’ speech.
Sofia Vergara, Gabrielle Union and Christina Hendricks were some of the A-list stars that attended the ceremony on Saturday evening. Vergara tweeted a message letting her followers know that Holly Shakoor was an amazingly beautiful bride.
