Emilia Clarke is without a doubt a very beautiful actress. Well, it seems that the famous Games of Thrones star is actually the Sexiest Woman Alive. Emilia received this title from Esquire magazine.
So, Esquire magazine named Emilia the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2015. The magazine justified its decision by saying that the star represents a “gorgeous balance” of sexy siren and girl next door. Emilia became widely known thanks to her amazing role in popular television series Games of Thrones. Emilia plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen in this series.
Well, during her recent interview, the actress claimed that she actually received this role, although she didn’t perfectly match the description of the character, as presented in George R. R. Martin’s books. However, Emilia received the part and she definitely achieved a great performance portraying the role of Daenerys. When talking about the role, Emilia said that her agent convinced the casting director to see her.
“My agent told the casting director, ‘I know that the breakdown for this character is tall and willowy and blonde. I know she’s short and round and brown, but I’d like you to see her.'” Emilia went on to add that the audition was not simple. “I had two scenes which told me nothing and not very much time in which to read all those books,” she said. “So I did what every good actor does and Wikipedia’d the living crap out of it.”
Emilia also said that she believed that the reason why she received this role was given by the fact that she was able to “convincingly convey her character’s growth.” “(The producers) wanted someone who could grow before your eyes in one season,” she explained. “Who could gather strength and show vulnerability.”
However, playing the role of Daenerys has not been simple for the famous actress, even more so as her early episodes in the television series included full-frontal nudity and sex scenes, but also a rape scene. “Once, I had to take a little time out,” Emilia confessed. “I said I needed a cup of tea, had a bit of a cry, and was ready for the next scene.”
Well, Emilia is set to return to HBO with the sixth season of Game of Thrones, which is expected to debut in the spring of 2016.
