Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi form a couple completely in love, yet the two celebrities keep passing on the idea of having any children.
In “Seriously … I’m kidding”, her third book, DeGeneres talks about people who ask her and her wife all the time about their intentions regarding starting a family. The couple discussed the issue in the past and came to the conclusion that even though they love being around children, its probably the fact that they are already taken care off that makes them so adorable. Besides, “there is far too much glass” in their house.
All kidding aside, Ellen thinks that both her, at 53 year old, and Portia, at 38, have enough living creatures to attend to every need as it is. They own several pets and animals. In their home they take care of two dogs, Mabel and Wolf, and three cats, Charlie, George and Chairman. Furthermore, on their farm the couple owns two horses, two mini horses, two cats, Tom and Little Sister and two cows, Holy and Madonna. “And those are only the animals we let sleep in our bed”, she writes in her newest book.
The couple had a beautiful wedding in 2008, which took place in their home, during the short period of time when marriage between two people of same gender was allowed in California.
“Seriously … I’m kidding”, published by Grand Central Publishing, was available for purchase starting with October 4th. The 256 page hardcover book, $26.99, has a very straight forward message. There is no feeling more satisfying than being successful while doing something you love and more importantly while being yourself.
