Former George Clooney’s girl Elisabetta Canalis strips in the latest ad for PETA. “Id’ rather go naked than wear fur” the poster says and shows a sensual photo of the Italian model and TV star. According to Access Hollywood, Canalis has revealed her reasons for participating in the PETA campaign in a recent video.
Elisabetta Canalis, 32, is not at all devastated by the split from Hollywood star George Clooney, which occurred in late June. Before the break-up she told Italian magazine Chi that she feels like it is time for her to settle down, get married and have children. And because Clooney had anything but that in mind, they went their separate ways. Clooney lies now in the strong and tender arms of former wrestler Stacy Keibler, and Canalis promotes her body anyway she can. The strongest contracts that she got are an appearance in the new season of Dancing WithThe Stars and the PETA anti-fur campaign. We guess that from now on, when someone will talk about her, it will not be how she was dumped by Clooney, but about how good she looks, naked or dancing.
Now let’s talk about her involvement in the PETA campaign. She posed nude for the organization, like many other celebrities have done, including Christy Turlington, Eva Mendez (even though her butt was blurred), Holly Madison, Jamelia, Karina Smirnoff, Kat von D, Khloe Kardashian, Kristen Johnston, Pamela Anderson, Sadie Frost, and the list could go on.
Why did she take this opportunity? “I decided to go nude because I think that nudity always creates a big reaction and that is what is required to keep people’s attention on such a brutal practice”, Canalis explained in a video posted on the PETA website. She advises people not to buy fur at all. “Even a little trim – your gloves or your bag or your jackets” counts when it comes to animals. “You must remember that animals don’t have a voice. You must be their voice,” she proudly states.
