While some new rumors continue to emerge about different celebrities, other rumors are put to rest. So, Eddie Redmayne has finally decided to talk about the rumors indicating that he and Taylor Swift dated. The star denied that he had ever been on a date with the famous singer.
So, the denial came during an interview on “Watch What Happens Live.” The actor made an appearance on the show to promote his newest film. But, as imagined fans were not only interested in his latest project. During the show, one fan who called to get in touch with the actor asked about Taylor and the rumors that have previously indicated that the two were in a relationship.
“Can you put the rumors to rest. Did you ever go out on a date with Taylor Swift?” the caller asked. And surprisingly the actor did not try to avoid the question. “I absolutely can put the rumors to rest. I never went out on a date with Taylor Swift,” he immediately said. The actor also provided some details about what happened when it comes to Taylor.
He revealed that he met the famous singer when she auditioned for Les Miserables. “She was amazing in the audition. So we got to sing together, which was a big moment for me. But, no, we never went out,” the Oscar winning actor explained. But, Taylor wasn’t finally featured in the movie. The part went to Anne Hathaway, who did not receive the best reviews for her work.
“I honestly don’t know because I think she’s formidable and I think she was kind of extraordinary in that film,” the actor said when being asked about these bad reviews. “It was an amazing thing because we were doing it live and it was the first time any of us had done it. One person would go and sing live for the first time and come and sort of report back, about how it had gone. She basically educated the rest of us on how to do it,” he went on to explain.
Well, now, fans can rest assured that there has never been something going on between Taylor and Eddie.
