Drew Barrymore is a mom now and it seems that the beautiful actress just wants to focus on family life. The Hollywood star recently claimed that she is willing to take a break from acting to be able to enjoy this time in her life and spent more time with her daughters.
Drew Barrymore also claimed that she is determined to give her children a more stable home life. The star made all these revelations in a recent interview with Savannah Guthrie, for the Today Show. “I think I will act less and less…I find the hours at this point in my life too difficult with kids, it’s hard to be present when you wake up before them and come home after they’ve gone to bed,” the Hollywood star said.
The actress went on to reveal that she will most likely focus once again on her career, when she considers that the right time has come to be doing that. “That’s just not the way I want to have this journey with my kids at this point in their life. But maybe when they’re older, I will feel differently,” the actress said.
Drew Barrymore also claimed that her desire to offer a perfect life to her children comes from her own childhood drama. By the time she turned 14, Drew already spent time in rehab. Her parents divorced when Drew was only 9. She obtained legal emancipation from her mother at the age of 15.
The actress said that she will be a traditional mother to Olive and Frankie. Drew also claimed that she can only thank God for being who is she and for valuing “Christmas cards and Halloween costumes…and being so present.”
The actress also claimed that she won’t be planning a third child, but if this will happen, she and her husband will surely be thrilled. Drew Barrymore is married to Will Kopelman. The couple started to date in 2011 and married in 2012. They welcomed their first child, Olive, in 2012. Frankie was born in April 2014.
