After some reports talked about a possible separation between Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman, the news has been confirmed. So, the former pair issued an official statement to confirm the fact that their marriage has ended.
The divorce news emerged after about no less than four years of marriage. A statement from the two to People magazine indicated that despite the split, they remain a family and are committed parents. “Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family. Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on,” the statement indicated.
So, Drew and Will, who share two young daughters, clarified the fact that even though their marriage ended, the children remain their first priority. “The children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority,” the statement read. The reason of the breakup was not confirmed, but rumors said that the relationship simply stopped working.
According to some reports, Drew and Will got into numerous arguments over the place where they should live. “While she was leaning towards Los Angeles, he was more comfortable remaining in Upper East Side, New York City,” an insider indicated. Another insider actually said that the pair had some problems with commitment.
“Drew had a very rebellious and wild childhood with no family around her, and while she is a very different person now, and a great mother, some of that can stay with you,” the insider revealed. Well, it seems that coping with the separation was not very difficult for Drew, after all. So, after the divorce announcement was officially made, Drew was spotted out at the Pebble Beach Food and Wine festival, promoting her own-brand, Barrymore Wines.
Well, the actress seemed to be doing quite well, being all smiles at the event. So, the famous star seemed to be in a good mood, enjoying her day out. The separation from Will would actually be the third divorce for Drew. She was previously married to Jeremy Thomas and Tom Green.
