Reporters at Reuters claim that Demi Moore will play Gloria Steinem in ‘Lovelace’. The movie inspired by the life of the famous porn actress Linda Lovelace will also feature Adam Brody and Eric Roberts. Moore will play the part of the iconic feminist Gloria Steinem, whereas Roberts will be a lie-detector expert. Adam Brody, on the other hand, was chosen to play the “Deep Throat” male lead Harry Reems.
Amanda Seyfreid is the privileged actress who was chosen to interpret the title role in the movie. Lovelace became a well-known actress in the adult entertainment after playing in the 1972 hardcore-porn movie. The movie will be produced in collaboration with Millennium Films and the cooperation of the Lovelace’s estate.
Hugh Hefner will not play his part in ‘Lovelace’. His role will be interpreted by James Franco. Peter Sarsgaard will portray Lovelace’s husband, Chuck Traynor. The movie will be directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman who have also produced “Bowl” and “The Celluloid Closet”. Andy Bellin, the writer of “Trust” has been co-opted to write the screenplay.
The spokespersons of the production house did not communicate the release date. However, they have stated that the film has an estimated budget of $10 million and is currently filming.
There are two Linda Lovelace projects that are in construction at present. The second one is writer-director Matthew Wilder’s “Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story”. The movie is due to be released in 2013 and it is based on the porn actress’ autobiography. “Inferno” will feature Malin Akerman who was recently involved in various TV series like “How I met your mother” and “Children’s Hospital”.
Demi Moore is also very busy now. The actress confronted herself with various family problems because her former husband, Ashton Kutcher cheated on her. Moore filed for divorce in November and she is now concentrating on her career life.
In April 2011, the 49-year-old actress signed a contract with Lifetime Television to produce three new series. The most recent project is “The Conversation”, an hour-long talk show hosted by Brit TV personality Amanda de Cadenet. The show will debut in spring 2012.
