David Schwimmer is best know to us from the popular series “Friends” in which he played Ross, a shy, calm, sweet, good guy, that always seemed to lack the luck when it came to girls. Still, he was one of the characters that were most loved.
Now, in real life, David is the lucky father of a “she”. The little girl’s name is Cleo, as the father proudly states in a message on Twitter, posted on Monday:
“Hey everyone. Please welcome my daughter, Cleo, to this crazy but wonderful world” He wrote these words under a photo he posted. The photo was of him, Zoe and the new member of the family, Cleo. The baby was born on May 8, in New York City.
This is the first child of the couple’s. David Schwimmer, who is an actor turned film director and Zoe Buckman, who is a British photographer, got married last June. Their wedding was small and private.
David, who is 44, and Zoe, who is 25, met in 2007 in London, where he was directing the romantic comedy ‘Run, Fat Boy, Run. Back then, Zoe was a waitress at the West End’s Cuckoo Club. The former sitcom star came to the club one day and she served him his order. They became a couple shortly after that and she moved to Los Angeles to spend more time with him.
In 2006, one year before meeting Zoe, David was speaking to People Magazine about his desire to start his own family and that he was dreaming about the time he would be a dad. Still, at that time, he had his reservations regarding the time when that will happen. It will happen when it feels right, he said. Maybe part of me is waiting for myself to slow down a little and be ready to stay put. I’m confident it’s gonna happen”.
Schwimmer has recently directed Trust, starring Clive Owen and will borrow his voice to the Madagascar character Melman for the third time.
