Colin Farrell will be featured in the new season of True Detective. The famous actor has actually confirmed the fact that he will star in the popular television series.
The confirmation from the famous actor came after months of speculation. So, for quite some time it has been claimed that Colin Farrell will be featured in this project. During this time, Colin Farrell remained silent, while Nic Pizzolatto, the creator of the show, refused to reveal what they plan on doing.
Well, it seems that Colin Farrell has had it with the rumors and wanted to clear things out. He confirmed the new project in an interview with Sunday World, claiming that he is really going to star on the show. “I’m doing the second series,” the popular actor claimed. “I’m so excited. I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot.”
Colin Farrell also revealed that he does not know that much about this new project. “I know very little about it, but we’re shooting in the environs of Los Angeles which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids,” the popular actor said.
Until now, no other cast members have been revealed. However, it is rumored that the television show will star Taylor Kitsch, Elizabeth Moss, but also famous actress Rachel McAdams. It has also been said that well known actor Vince Vaughn will star in True Detective, too. In the first season of the television series, the main roles were played by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
In August, rumors indicated that Nic Pizzolatto actually wrote season two of the famous series having Vice Vaughn in mind. So, maybe we will really see the famous actor in this role. True Detective was originally set to start filming in September. However, it seems that producers have pushed back a little bit their plans.
True Detective is set to debut in the summer of 2015. So, fans of the popular television series will have a few months to wait until they will be able to find out what will happen next on the show.
