For Cobie Smulders wedding bells didn’t rang just in the last season of “How I Met Your Mother”. Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam tied the knot this Saturday, three years later after announcing their engagement.
You’d think that three years of planning for a wedding will result in a breathtaking ceremony, so intricate you’ll be speaking about it for days in a row. Well, that’s not exactly how things worked at Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam’s wedding ceremony. The longtime couple tied the knot this weekend in a ceremony that lasted 15 minutes.
Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam got married at the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort in Solvang, California. Sources say it was a beautiful 15-minute wedding ceremony. Guests then headed to the reception set near a lake. According to US Magazine, the 300 ceremony guests took hay rides to get to the wedding reception site.
RumorFix.com has sources that say Smulder’s “How I Met Your Mother” co-stars Allyson Hannigan and Neil Patrick Harris were on the guest list. Same source says Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam paid $43,000 a night to rent the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort in Solvang, California.
Most likely, the couple’s 3-year-old daughter got her dream dress for her parents’ wedding day. Cobie Smulders told a reporter for ET Canada earlier this year that her daughter “really wants a dress and she wants white shoes”. She added her daughter “knows about” the wedding. “She knows that there are sweets involved” the star of “How I Met Your Mother” said.
“How I Met Your Mother” Cobie Smulders and “Saturday Night Live” Taran Killam have been a couple for years now. The two even have a 3-year-old daughter together, called Shaelyn. On the overall, Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam have been together for eight years.
It’s an impressive history seeing as most of today’s stars can’t even make it for two years together before calling it quits or filing for divorce. The world of TV comedy was shocked to hear last week that Amy Poehler and Will Arnett called it quits, after nine years together.
