This Christmas, celebrities felt it is time to tie the knot and propose to their special ones to “live together ‘till death do us part”. So far, Matthew McConaughey, reputable handsome actor finally proposed to Camila Alves in the Christmas Eve and now Chrissy Teigen is engaged to John Legend. Such news can only spark debates regarding their wedding ceremony and the bride’s dress.
People.com reports that Cindi Berger, a rep for John Legend, declared that the rapper and his beautiful girlfriend got engaged over the Christmas weekend. “John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives”.
The news has been confirmed on the celebs’ Twitter accounts. John Legend said: “thanks for the well wishes everybody”, while Chrissy Teigen posted: “we are:) and thank you”. So far, there’s not much to go on, as there haven’t been any other details released.
But, bad mouths are already talking that this engagement might not even make it to the actual wedding ceremony. Earlier this year, model Chrissy Teigen, as beautiful as she is, told the Huffington Post it was hard to have a boyfriend who women were constantly throwing themselves at.
She said, referring to John Legend’s “Green Light” music video: “I might have had a mental breakdown. But now I’ve calmed down a lot. It was hard at first and then you really get pep talks and you are just like this is how it’s going to be”.
Interesting enough is that Chrissy also mentioned how she gets her revenge. She makes John Legend watch all her favorite TV shows which are, surprisingly, on the subject of weddings. “I watch all that bride crap and that really anger him. The one thing he can’t stand is my hairdressing shows though”.
It’s really no surprise classy rapper John Legend makes women throw themselves at him. He did win nine Grammys and released four albums, becoming an international star who is also good-looking, but Chrissy Tiegen is nonetheless just as eye catching. The model has been named “rookie of the year” in the Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue last year and has starred on the game show “Deal or No Deal” and in ad campaigns for Billabong, Fredericks of Hollywood and even Victoria’s Secret.
