Chris Noth decided to talk about the highly famous Sex and the City and his revelations are actually quite shocking. During a recent interview with an Australian news outlet, the popular actor also talked about rumors on a possible third Sex and the City movie.
Chris Noth played the role of Mr. Big in the popular television show and in the two movies inspired by the show. When being asked about the rumors on a possible third Sex and the City movie, the famous actor said that he won’t believe it until he hears “action!.”
When talking about his character, the popular actor said that Mr. Big has always been honest with Carrie. “The relationship just didn’t work, and he went on to get married while she went on to . . . how many boyfriends did she have? She was such a whore! [laughs] There’s a misconception that Carrie was a victim of him, and that’s not the case — she was a strong, smart woman,” he claimed.
Regarding the lack of success of Sex and the City 2, the popular actor said that “it was a mistake to leave New York City, because New York is an integral part of that show.” Moreover, he added that the show was launched in the middle of the recession, so there is no wonder that people weren’t interested in seeing a movie about 4 women going to Dubai.
Chris Noth also said that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis have been “very naughty” tweeting about a third movie. “Sure, I’ve heard rumours, but they’ve been saying that s**t for 10 years. It’d be a great thing, but for now it’s all just Tweety-pie s**t,” the famous actor said.
Chris Noth also talked about the future of the show. “We’re all getting older,” the actor claimed, adding that it will be difficult to make a new interesting action.
Well, the creator of Sex and the City, Michael Patrick King already reacted to the comments made by Noth. He claimed that the actor was just kidding.
Sex and the City ran on HBO for no less than 6 years. The show was launched in 1998 and had been a huge success. The television series also inspired two movies: Sex and the City, released in 2008, and Sex and the City 2, launched in 2010.
