Charlize Theron has become a mother for the first time, according to Daily Mail. The “Young Adult” star has always wanted a child and now her dream has come true as the actress managed to adopt an African American baby boy named Jackson.
Charlize Theron’s spokespersons declared on Wednesday that the actress has joined the list of many other actresses who have adopted a baby, such as, Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, Madonna, etc. According to their declarations, the baby boy was born in America and is of African-American descent.
The 36-year-old actress has constantly mentioned in her previous interviews that she would like to become a mother someday. In January, she was seen playing with a friend’s baby on the set of the movie “Snow White and The Huntsman”. She even declared in an interview she released in August last year for Germany’s “In Touch” magazine that she would have been very happy if she had found out that she was pregnant the next day.
Theron was involved in a 9-year relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend. The two didn’t make any plans for marriage, but the Oscar-winning actress admitted that she was hoping to become a mother. Unfortunately, the relationship did not last and the two separated in 2010.
Despite the disappointment she suffered in her love life, Charlize didn’t give up on her dream of experiencing motherhood. In fact, she remained open to the idea of adoption because the actress believes that it is our job to take care of the unwanted children in the world.
Charlize Theron was recently seen at a fashion event held at the Soho House in Hollywood, Los Angeles. She was very elegant in a black, low-cut dress with pleats on the skirt and she took the opportunity to socialize with many Hollywood stars. Insiders claim that the actress spent most of her time with Katie Holmes; thus, making reporters speculate that the two were sharing tips on motherhood.
The actress is now preparing for the release of her much-awaited film “Snow White and The Huntsman”. According to producers, the movie is due to premiere on June 1, 2012.
