Many actors make huge sums of money from their career projects and actually Hollywood stars are some of the best paid people in the world. However, this was surely not the case for the actress who voiced teenage Elsa in the highly famous Frozen. Despite the success of the movie, she was paid only $926.20.
TMZ reported that Spencer Lacey Ganus has voiced Elsa in some of the early scenes of the movie. She received just one-day guaranteed payment. The movie grossed more than $1.2 billion at the box office, but the star received a fee of only about 0.000077 percent of the profit of the movie. The details regarding the payment were revealed now, as they were submitted in court.
The fact is that Spencer Lacey Ganus had only a few lines in the animated movie, but still the payment she received is really outrageous. Idina Menzel voiced grown-up Elsa, while young Elsa was played by Eva Bella. Frozen has been an impressive success, actually earning more than what everyone expected.
The movie is actually based on a Hans Christian Andersen story. The fairytale, The Show Queen, is without a doubt a beautiful story, so there is no wonder that it was taken to the big screen. Frozen managed to gross more than Toy Story 3, becoming the highest grossing animated movie of all time and the highest grossing film of 2013. Frozen also went to win two Oscars, for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.
The much appreciated movie was released in 2013 and was produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Having under consideration the impressive success of the movie, in January 2014, it had been revealed that Frozen would be adapted into a Broadway stage musical.
However, despite what fans from all over the world expected, producers have not announced a full length sequel for Frozen. So, until now there is no official confirmation on whether such a sequel will ever be created.
It is yet to see what will happen in Spencer Lacey Ganus’ case and what will be decided next.
