Carey Mulligan kissed Johnny Depp, felt uncomfortable

When invited to the Graham Norton show, actress Carey Mulligan confessed she kissed co-star Johnny Depp several times, but the kissing scenes had to be cut because she felt uncomfortable and it was showing. During her confession, Hollywood star Johnny Depp sat alongside her.

Carey Mulligan told show host Graham Norton that she had to kiss Depp several times. “It was sixteen times, but it was cut out of the film because I looked so uncomfortable”. The 26-year-old actress is far from being bad at her job, as she managed to be nominated for an Oscar award for her role in “An Education”. Still, maybe the fellow co-star’s reputation made her blush and couldn’t pull it together in the romantic kissing scenes filmed for the 2009 gangster movie “Public Enemies”.

Carey also said she is trying hardly to keep it cool while filming with another of the Hollywood’s most adored male figures – Leonardo DiCaprio – in an adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” directed by Baz Luhrman. The production will be in 3D.

The actress explains why she was having such trouble when getting so close to the two actors. “I grew up watching everything he’s ever done and it’s difficult to hide my inner fan when I am around him.” And when, in “The Great Gatsby”, Mulligan is a married woman who becomes the love obsession of DiCaprio, the tension could be rising.
Her private life is also rich in romantic news. In late September, the blonde showed an new sparkler in her finger, while in Sydney airport. Even though she is very discreet regarding her private life, this was a clear statement that she is preparing for marriage. According to a source who talked to Us Weekly, mulligan got engaged to boyfriend, musician Marcus Mumford. “They’re a great couple”, the source said.
