Unfortunately, Bret Michaels had to rush off the stage for a medical emergency. The famous singer was on the stage on Thursday night, when he needed help from the paramedics, after a diabetes attack.
The popular rocker was lucky that the paramedics were there and could offer him medical assistance fast. The star was playing at a show in Manchester when he started to feel ill. His guitarist, Pete Evick, decided to share with the fans this bad experience.
He posted a message on Facebook to tell about the awful experience he has been through. “This is a message I never imagined I’d have to post. Tonight in Manchester, NH 3 songs into the set Bret had me sing a song as he rushed off stage. In the 9 years I’ve stood next to him, I’ve never seen a look like the one on his face as if I was a complete stranger. One of the crew returned instantly to notify me that Bret’s blood sugar was extremely low,” the post on Facebook showed.
Moreover, the famous guitarist revealed the fact that Bret Michaels returned on the stage just to tell his fans that unfortunately he was unable to continue with the show. “As you all know he is a health fanatic and fiercely monitors his blood sugar, he basically had to be dragged off the stage in his sickest of conditions,” Evick also claimed.
The guitarist said that even though Bret Michaels was feeling really sick, he was still concerned about his fans. This is why the musician asked Evick to apologize to the fans for him.
It is a well known fact that Bret Michaels unfortunately sufferers from diabetes. The famous singer has been dealing with this severe condition for years. In fact, Michaels suffers from type 1 diabetes, a condition he was diagnosed with while being a child. Following the events, the singer posted a message on his Tweeter to thank the paramedics who have been there to offer him assistance during the night of the events.
Now, reports indicate that Bret Michaels is doing well and there are no concerns linked to his health.
