Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are getting divorced. Of course, by now, everyone has heard this news, as Angelina and Brad were one of the most famous couples in the world. However, it seems that handling the separation and even more than that, handling the claims that have been made against him, has not been simple for the popular actor.
Brad actually is said to be “totally crushed” by the allegations and the divorce from Angelina. The two have been a married couple for two years, but they first started dating 12 years ago. They also have six children together. An insider talked to US Weekly about how Brad has been dealing with everything and the source said that the actor is not well.
“He can’t believe this is what his life has become, and he’s in bad shape, but the kids are the only thing he’s hanging onto,” the source revealed. “He’s been leaning heavily on his family and speaks to his parents and close friends and his manager constantly. His mom has been talking to him constantly,” the same insider added.
The custody of the couple’s children has been one of the most debated topics of the separation. In her divorce filing, Angelina sought the sole physical custody of the children with visitation rights for her estranged husband. However, Brad has been linked to some child abuse allegations. But, finally the former couple reached a temporary agreement which allows the actor to see the couple’s children.
Under the terms of this temporary agreement, Brad and Angelina have joint legal custody of the kids, although the children will remain with Angelina. Furthermore, the first visit that Brad will make to the kids will be supervised by a therapist. Brad and Angelina will undergo counseling together and also counseling with the children.
The insider said that Brad is willing to be very cooperative in this whole process as he wants to be able to see the children. “He will cooperate in whatever way he can. He loves those kids more than anything,” the source added.
