Famous U2 frontman Bono has suffered an accident which actually made the star have to delay his concert. Actually, Bono had to make an appearance on The Tonight Show stage. However, the star needs to undergo surgery on his arm, as his bandmates revealed in a statement.
The statement was released on the official website of the band. The same statement indicated that the U2 star is now recovering after the accident. It has been reported that the accident took place in New York’s Central Park.
“It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time – we’re one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it. We’re sure he’ll make a full recovery soon, so we’ll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding,” the official statement said.
This is just the latest incident which involves Bono. He actually has been through a dangerous situation during his flight from Dublin to Berlin. Then, the rear door of the singer’s private jet fell off. Luckily, no one was harmed and the plane managed after all to land in safe conditions. The star was onboard of his private jet, being accompanied by some friends.
Reports revealed that there were seven people in the plane. None of them were injured in the incidents. However, sources claimed that Bono has actually been in real danger and he was extremely lucky that he got away unharmed. Apparently, both the star and one of his companions lost their luggage in the accident.
U2 released their newest album in September. The frontman of the famous band is well-known to love cycling. This is not the first time when the star is seen enjoying a cycling experience. Actually, he was photographed with his wife cycling, on various occasions. However, at least this time, the famous musician was not wearing protective gear. Hopefully, Bono will improve his condition and will be back on the stage in no time.
