Filming for The Big Bang Theory might start sooner than what everyone expects. It seems that the stars of the famous television series received the huge salaries they wanted.
It has already been revealed that production of the popular series was put on hold, as its main actors wanted an impressive raise of their salaries. Now it seems that producers have managed to reach a deal with the cast of the show. Reports indicate that actors Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco have all obtained a salary raise and contracts on a three year period.
The same reports indicate that Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are still in talks with producers, but most likely they will be able to get the same great deals. The other two stars of The Big Bang Theory received a salary raise in September. Apparently, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch had no new negotiations with producers, but their contract will expire next year.
Reports reveal that for the three main stars of The Big Bang Theory salaries have grown from $325,000 per episode, to $1 million per episode. Naturally, this is an impressive salary for the famous actors. However, the sum is not that huge if we keep under consideration the amazing earnings of the show and its great success. The Big Bang Theory is currently watched by over 20 million people each week.
The show is in the works for its 8th season, but production was put on hold for about one week. Now, as negotiations have ended, the famous actors of the television series will most likely return to the set. CBS has revealed earlier this year that they renewed the hit show for three more seasons. So, what is certain is that The Big Bang will have at least 10 seasons.
It seems that fans supported the famous actors in their choice to not continue filming until getting the wanted salary. They are a great cast and they should receive what they desire, it has been claimed. Well, the show is set to return for its 8th season on Monday, September 22. The premiere episode will last one hour.
