Beyoncé declared on Wednesday that she has dropped out of Clint Eastwood’s project “A Star Is Born”. The singer would have loved to be the female lead of the movie, but motivated that her schedule is too busy to make a Hollywood comeback with this film, according to Us Weekly.
Beyoncé Knowles has been in talks with Clint Eastwood for a role in his remake “A Star Is Born”. The two celebrities seemed to have reached an agreement, but the singer declared on Wednesday that she decided to exit the film because she is too busy to start filming. The 31-year-old interpreter was supposed to play Esther, the protagonist of the movie, who becomes a successful female singer/songwriter.
The “I Was Here” interpreter told reporters that she was looking forward to start filming for Clint Eastwood’s remake. Unfortunately, it has been very difficult for the two to coordinate their busy schedules in the past four months, so they had to admit that working together is just not possible at present. Despite this, Beyoncé stated that she would love to take part in Clint Eastwood’s future projects.
Eastwood is now at a loss because it was impossible for him to find a male lead for the remake. Many A-list actors have been linked to the movie, including Leonardo DiCaprio, but none of them agreed to sign a deal for the film. The team’s job has become even more complicated now that they have to start searching again for an interpreter of the female lead.
Eastwood talked about his movie “A Star Is Born” during the premiere of “Trouble With The Curve”. He told the media that the team has been in talks with many actors who could take part in the motion picture, but they will not address the subject until next year, more specifically at the beginning of 2013.
