Ben Affleck has been silent about his separation from his former wife and the mother of his children, Jennifer Garner, at least until now. So, it now seems that the popular actor decided to open up about the split. The famous Hollywood star claimed during a recent interview with The New York Times that he and Jennifer remain in good terms.
“We’re on great terms. I just saw her this morning, so that’s the reality that I live in,” Ben said. He went on to say that his former wife is “a great person.” However, that was all that Ben wanted to share at this point. So, the actor refused to talk more about his family or his life after the divorce from Jennifer. He also offered an explanation for that.
“Because it ends up being in the record somewhere, in the great miasma of junk on the internet,” the star said. However, Ben could not avoid the subject that easily. So, the actor was asked about the interview that Jennifer recently gave to Vanity Fair. During her interview, Jennifer said that her marriage was always a priority for her and compared her split from Ben with Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s separation.
“My heart’s a little on the tender side right now, and it’s always easier to focus on the ways that you feel hurt, but I know that, with time and some perspective, I’ll have a clearer sense of where I let the system down, because there’s no way I get off in this,” Jennifer also said during the interview. The actress went to deny the rumors indicating that Ben cheated on her with the couple’s nanny. She said that she and Ben were separated for several months before the nanny story emerged.
Well, it seems that Ben had no problem with the fact that Jennifer talked about this. “It’s fine. She’s allowed to talk about it,” the actor said. “She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with, so she could say, ‘Look, I already talked about it – I don’t want to do it again,'” he concluded.
