After various interviews with some of this year’s most admired figures, Barbara Walters has finally decided who deserves to be crowned as the “Most Fascinating Person of 2011”. The result of the classification was announced during the Wednesday edition of the ABC show “Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011”.
Walters took the opportunity to ask the Kardashian family a series of questions that most viewers would like to ask them. She told the three sisters and their mom, Kris Jenner, that she doesn’t understand why they are so successful given that they don’t have any particular talent. As a matter of fact, the reality stars don’t know how to sing, act or dance, and, yet, they have captured all the media’s attention. In Khloe’s opinion, fans love the Kardashian family because they can entertain them. Kim, on the other hand, thinks it is more difficult to get the public on your side when you are a reality star because people have to accept you for who you are.
Walters also wanted to know who is the most conceited sister and who is Kris’ favorite. All the other sisters replied ‘Kim’, but Jenner laughed and denied their answers.
There were many other people that were present on Barbara’s list besides the Kardashians. Pippa Middleton and Amanda Knox – two of the persons who were included on the list – were not present during the show, but Barbara interviewed everybody else. She talked to Herman Cain, Simon Cowell, Katy Perry, Derek Jeter, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Donald Trump.
The first position of “The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011” was occupied by Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple who died this year at 56. Jobs deserved to win this prize because he revolutionized people’s lives.
