Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8, funky Bluetooth Headphones

The new wireless Bluetooth headphones, the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay, feature noise canceling. This is a very important feature for this headphone, and also comes with a beautiful design, plush sheepskin earcups that are equipped with memory foam and a sturdy metal with leather headband. However, the new headphone can be found at quite an expansive cost, 500 dollars. Even if the price is high, these headphones are definitely located at the high-end of the Bluetooth headphone spectrum. As for every headphone model, there are a lot of things to like about the H8, but there are also a few small flaws.

The Band & Olufsen BeoPlay is weighing 255 grams, and it looks very good on the head, and is also considered to be comfortable for an on-ear model. The battery life is very impressive, the company claims that the headphone is rated for an ample 13-14 hours of music playback via Bluetooth and noise cancelling on. To be mentioned that the battery is removable and replaceable. As for the earcups, they are very cozy and build from high-end materials, like anodized aluminum with a sheepskin pad that is ultra-comfortable. However, the sheepskin will probably steam up the users ears in warmer environments.

An interesting feature about this model is the outside of the right cup, which seems to be a touch interface and with simple gesture controls users will have the opportunity to adjust volume, change songs and even answer calls. After some running tests, the touch controls seems to work very well, but users will probably end up accidentally stop the music when removing the headphones. Other features that this headphone has is the AptX, which is known as being a technology that is available in some particular phones, like Samsung Galaxy models. This new technology is designed to improve the sound quality of Bluetooth streaming.

When buying this model, customers will also receive a thick cloth carrying pouch, which is decent, and a cable for listening to the headphone in wired mode. This cable is very useful especially for users who are on a trip via plane and can’t use Bluetooth headphones. However, when using this headphone in wired mode, the battery life will improve dramatically. The company says that in wired mode and with noise canceling on, the model will can get up to 35 hours of use.
