Asus Memo Pad 7 LTE, cheap and fast

Customers who want to buy a tablet for as little money as possible, the new Asus Memo Pad 7 LTE is probably the right choice. This 7-inch tablet is running on AT&T network and is available for free with a two-year contract, approximately 8,70 dollars per month over 20 monthly installments. For people who are not interested in a two year contract, they can buy the tablet for the price of 175 dollars.

This new budget tablet offers only the basics. It comes with a simple design and its specs are barely average. However, for people who want to use this tablet for casual usage, the simple spec still manage to satisfy their needs. Memo’s performance is consistently smooth for most tasks and that awful bug that tents to plague cheap tablets is barely seen. Probably this is not the greatest tablet on the market, but for customers who want to spend 200 dollars on a budget tablet, they will probably find few other tablets that have a better design and some interesting specs.

Asus Memo Pad 7 LTE comes with an unadorned tablet design, weighing approximately 10.5 ounces and 0,39-inch thickness. This tablet is probably hefty, but it doesn’t feel that way when holding for long periods in hand. Due to its rounded corners and curved edges, the tablet is very comfortable to hold in both landscapes. Its plastic back panel is very smooth, matte finished and offers a pleasant feeling. On the top edge of the tablet, there is a Micro-USB port, while on the bottom is situated the headphone jack. The SIM and microSD card slots are found on the left side of the tablet and on the right edge are the volume rocker and power button.

The new device is running Android 4.4 KitKat, featuring Asus’ Zen user interface. The most significant difference can be noticed at the two pull-down menu options. Users will have the possibility to swipe down from the right to get the notifications menu and swiping down from the left side, the menu with shortcuts. Asus Memo Pad 7 LTE is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of Ram and 16GB of internal memory. However, users can also expand the memory up to 64GB via the microSD card slot. Other interesting features include a Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi.
