Tennis star Anna Kournikova is leaving NBC’s Biggest Loser after only two months as a trainer. The Blonde says that it has been a great experience for her, but confirmed that she will not be returning to the show, Us Weekly reports.
Anna Kournikova recently told Us Weekly that she will not be returning for the next season on The Biggest Loser show, which airs on NBC. She says that she enjoyed the time spent on the Biggest Loser ranch, but confirmed the news that was first brought by The Hollywood Reporter: that she will no longer be a part of its fitness team. However, she adds: “I will always be a part of The Biggest Loser family and my commitment to bettering lives through health and fitness will continue”. She does not give a reason for leaving the show, but some rumors behind the scenes may have an answer to the enigma.
A source involved in the show who talked to The Hollywood Reporter said that Kournikova had trouble relating to the overweight contestants. When they were complaining about the training being so hard, instead of sympathizing with them, she was giving her as an example, explaining how much she had to work to become the tennis player that she is now. The tennis pro who replaced Jillian Michaels in the 12 season was “a nightmare”. “It wasn’t the right fit for her” and “[Her exit] was a mutual decision”, the source explained.
