Angelina Jolie made her first red carpet appearance since she announced fans in mid-May that she underwent surgery for double mastectomy to reduce the risk of developing breast cancer. She accompanied her fiancé Brad Pitt at the London premiere of his movie, World War Z, the Associated Press reports.
The 37-year-old actress proved once again that the double mastectomy she had at the beginning of May did not affect her good humor or her femininity in any way. In fact, she looked stunningly beautiful as she walked on the red carpet holding her fiancé’s hand. Brad Pitt, too, did not let female fans down and showed up wearing a dapper black suit that matched his new role as movie director.
It wasn’t particularly the black, see-through dress that the actress wore that impressed us, but the large smile she had on her face all the time. Jolie confessed she had completely overcome her health issues and is now able to enjoy life to its fullest. She was emotionally overwhelmed by the support she received from her family and from her fans during the recovery period. She concluded by saying that she was glad that her surgery set an example for many other women and triggered many discussions among health communities.
Brad Pitt was grateful that his partner accompanied him at the London premiere of his movie even though she still needs to recover after the surgery. He told the press that fans’ support moved them all and confessed that he was proud of the difficult decision that Angelina Jolie made. The couple seemed more in love than ever; the two actors smiled at each other and hold hands during the whole time they stood on the red carpet.
After the interviews, Jolie and Pitt separated in order to spend time with their fans. Angelina signed many autographs and took lots of pictures with fans, who were glad they could personally congratulate her for her health.
