The new wife of famous actor George Clooney decided to change her surname. So, Amal Alamuddin is going to be known at work as Amal Clooney. The famous human right lawyer quietly changed her profile on law firm Doughty Street Chambers’ website.
As expected, Amal and her husband have kept privacy on this decision, so the couple made no special announcement to let everyone know that the popular lawyer has changed her name. Well, since the world had to discover by themselves that Amal changed her name to Clooney, the website of the law firm had so many people accessing it that it reportedly crashed.
Apparently, the full name of the famous lawyer will be Amal Alamuddin Clooney. The beautiful couple wedded in Venice in a private ceremony. The couple actually had a lavish, four-day wedding in the beautiful Italian city. After the wedding, the two purchased an impressive property, to create a home for themselves.
So, it has been claimed that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin purchased a multimillion-dollar home at about 40 miles distance from Central London. The property is a 5,000-acre estate, which became quite famous for being featured in the television series Downtown Abbey. The property has 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, including a master bedroom with a dressing room, a breakfast room, a library and a gymnasium.
Currently, both George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are busy with work. While Clooney is at the New York’s Comic Con to promote the movie Tomorrowland, Amal is in Greece, working at the negotiation for the return of the iconic Parthenon marbles from the British Museum. Amal Clooney arrived in Athens on Monday to meet the Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. The Parthenon Marbles are currently homed by the British Museum in London.
On the other hand, Clooney had to return to work, too. “It is not lost on me that I’m spending my honeymoon at Comic-Con,” the star joked.
The beautiful couple wedded in September and had among their guests’ famous names such as Matt Damon, Anna Wintour, Bill Murray, Ellen Barkin and Cindy Crawford.
