Alcatel has released the new OneTouch Idol 3

The new Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 comes with a 4.7-inch display, meaning that it is smaller and weaker-of-hardware, compared with the previous 5.5-inch Alcatel phone. This new device costs 180 dollars and features some interesting software OS attributes that will make it worth the money.

Besides the hardware specs, another main advantage is that it is slim and it has a reversible software interface, allowing users to grab up the phone no matter the way. Moreover, it homes JBL dual speakers, meaning that it delivers a powerful music sound and it is also perfect for conference calls, compared with other phones in this category.

Probably, the biggest rival on the market at this category is the Motorola Moto G, which was released this year. However, comparing these two phones head to head, they probably share the same specs, but Alcatel’s battery life isn’t as good as Motorola’s.

Customers who already own the 5.5-inch version will probably notice that this new device looks just like it. The new Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 comes with a black face and dark gray backing, while the rim shines with faux-metallic glass. The top and bottom round out, while on the front these parts home two JBL speakers. To be added that these speakers are pretty clean and round for a smartphone. These two speakers also help make the whole reversible concept work, because no matter how users will grab the phone, it looks the same.

To be added that on the left side of the phone users will find the power/lock button, while on the right side there is the volume rocker, plus a Micro-USB card slot and a speaker jack. On the upper left corner there is the rear camera accompanied by the flash.

This phone runs Android 5.0, but it will probably update soon to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 homes a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, with 1,5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Moreover, it has a 2,000mAh battery, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi networks: 8012.11a,b,g,n 5GHz. To be added that phone calls are sounding pretty good with volume pumped up to the tape of the range.
