Acer Aspire V Nitro packs quality components

Acer Aspire V Nitro Black Edition is a good quality laptop that can easily replace a desktop. The advantage is that this device is squeezed into the body of a stylish thin-and-light notebook. Not be mentioned that it is a powerful notebook, too. Acer Aspire V Nitro is available at the price of 1,000 dollars, in US, Australia and UK. It comes in two versions, the 15.6-inch and the 17.3-inch, while the price varies. For now, the 15.6-inch version is available only through the Microsoft Store, for the price of 1,399 dollars, which can be a little expensive.

The Aspire V Nitro’s design is not that astonishing, but it is attractive and made with style. However, compared to other average gaming laptops, Nitro is without a doubt on the podium. Probably not everyone wants to have a stylish laptop, which screams for attention. The important thing is what carries under the hood. Acer Aspire V Nitro has a screen bezel and keyboard deck covered in a soft-touch material that feels and looks good. It measures 15.3 inches wide and 10,1 inches deep by 0.94 inches thick. It also weighs 4.8 pounds.

V Nitro is not a touchscreen, but this won’t bother, if the user haven’t used a Windows 8 laptop before. Under the hood, Aspire V Nitro comes with a Haswell-based quad-core 2.5GHz Intel i&04710HQ, accompanied by GeForce GTX 860M with 2GB of memory and 16GB of system memory. It also has a 256GB solid-state drive paired with 1TB 5,400rpm hard drive. With such configuration, everyone who owns this laptop will have a solid performance for just about anything. They can complete general office tasks, do some basic photo, audio and music editing and not to forget, enjoy gaming.

However, to be mentioned that for gaming at 4K, the NVidia GeForce GTX 860M is underpowered. So, if the user will want to play anything slightly demanding, he will have to dial back the game’s graphics setting and drop the resolution to 1,920×1,080. This isn’t a real problem, because the screen still look great at full HD.

Even if it has a mid-level NVidia GeForce GTX 860 graphics and the battery life could be better, V Nitro Black Edition is a good quality laptop and a potent component combo for both entertainment and work.
